Parasailing is one of those bucket-list moments that is far easier than it looks. You sit in a secure harness on the back of a powerboat, the crew pays out the line, and you float skyward -- no jumping, no running, no effort. Up top, the noise fades and the view expands: the coastline, the reef patterns, the resort rooftops, and the deep blue horizon. After 15 to 20 minutes you are reeled back in for a gentle platform landing. Fly alone, with a partner, or as a trio.

Itinerary
Meet the crew at the Bavaro beach parasailing station. Quick safety talk and harness fitting.
Cruise to the flight zone. Enjoy the coastline views as the crew prepares the chute.
Lift off from the boat deck and rise smoothly above the Caribbean. Fifteen to twenty minutes of uninterrupted aerial views.
Gently reeled back onto the platform. Cruise back to shore buzzing with adrenaline.

Will I get wet?
Standard flights keep you dry. If you fancy a splash, ask the crew for a water dip on the way down.
What are the weight limits?
Singles up to 250 lbs, tandems up to 400 lbs, triples up to 450 lbs combined.
I am nervous about heights -- will I be OK?
The gradual ascent surprises most people. Once you are up, the serenity and the view tend to override any nerves. You can request a lower altitude if you prefer.
