Do I need snorkelling experience?
None at all. The reef is shallow and calm, and your guide gives a quick tutorial before you enter the water. Life jackets are on hand if you want extra confidence.
What marine life will I see?
Common sightings include parrotfish, angelfish, sergeant majors, trumpetfish, sea fans, and occasionally hawksbill turtles.
Is this suitable for families?
Very much so. The snorkelling area is sheltered with minimal current. Children should be supervised, and life jackets are provided free of charge.
Can I bring my own gear?
Welcome to, but we supply quality masks, fins, and life jackets at no extra cost.
Guest Reviews
The reef was bursting with life -- I lost count of the fish species. And the beach afterwards was utter tranquility. Lunch was generous and tasty. Great value.
As a diver, I was skeptical about a snorkel tour, but Catalina's reef genuinely impressed me. Visibility was over 20 metres and the coral was in excellent health.
